Assist. Prof. Serkan Caliskan has received a TUBİTAK research grant (January 1 ,2008)
Assistant Professor Serkan Caliskan has received a research grant for his research proposal titled "Modeling nano scale structures by “small world network” theory and investigating spin dependent transport". In the present project, the spin polarized properties of nano scale structures resembling "Small World Networks" will be investigated. "Non-equilibrium Green’s function" will be employed to find details about the electronic structure properties of nano scale materials and to get the properties related to spin dependent transport under a bias voltage.
Assist. Prof. Levent Sari has received a TUBİTAK research grant (April 23rd,2007)
Assistant Professor Levent Sari has received a research grant for his research proposal titled 'Quantum, Classical (Molecular), and Statistical Mechanical Investigation of dynamic mechanisms of DNA-Topoisomerase systems in conjunction with the topoisomerase-targeted anti-cancer drug molecules'. The grant is in the amount of 272,000 YTL (=200,000 USD), and Dr. Sari will spend some of this fund on the construction of a small supercomputer cluster. We congratulate him, and wish further successes.
